In the summer of 2016 , accompained by Luca Rolli , an Alpine Guide from Courmayer , we hike through the Vallée Blanche glacier in the Mont Blanc Massif.
Early in the morning we met at the departure of SkyWay Montebianco cable car in Courmayer and once on the top of Punta Helbronner we took a second funicular that took us to Aiguille du Midi station.
The path of this cable car overfly the glacier and allows a spectacular view of the entire Mont Blanc massif and the surronding mountains , many of which exceed 4000 meters. Mont Blanc du Tacuil , Dent gu Géant and Grand Jorasses are just some of the most famous and spectacular.
The descent from the Aiguille du Midi is the most challenging time of the entire hike with a steep descent on the ridge, the rest of the route instead is quite easy even if long and goes around spectacular crevasses and seracs. A truly fantastic experience!
We finish the excursion to the Torino refuge with a good meal before going down from Punta Helbronner again with the cableway.
