Arrived by plane to Cuzco, a fantastic and important tourist city of southern Peru, the ancient capital of the Inca culture and rich in evidence and monuments, we travelled by bus through the Sacred Valley of the Incas and its interesting archaeological sites, and then by train to Aguas Calientes.
The next morning, when everything was still dark, from here we walked towards the entrance of the Inca ruins of Machu Picchu, a place that no needs introduction; it is inserted in the list of the 7 wonders of the modern world. There, a fantastic and misty sunrise opened my photographic adventure in South America. The landscape is truly amazing; we were surrounded by high Andean peaks, shrouded in the morning mist of the high-altitude cloud forest.
We spent the whole day wandering among the ancient ruins and its paths, until the closure of the site just before sunset.

Arrivati in aereo a Cuzco, fantastica ed importante città turistica del sud del Perù, antica capitale della cultura Inca e ricca di reperti e monumenti, ci spostiamo prima in autobus attraverso la Valle Sacra degli Inca ed i suoi interessanti siti archeologici e poi in treno fino ad Aguas Calientes.
La mattina seguente, quando è ancora buio, da qui ci avviamo verso l’entrata delle rovine Inca di Machu Picchu, luogo che non ha bisogno di presentazioni, a ragion dovuta inserito tra le 7 meraviglie del mondo moderno. Lì una fantastica e nebbiosa alba inaugura la mia avventura fotografica in Sud America. Il paesaggio è davvero incredibile; siamo circondati da alti picchi andini, avvolti nella nebbia mattutina della foresta nebulare d’alta quota.
Passiamo l’intera giornata girovagando tra le antiche rovine ed i suoi sentieri, fino alla chiusura del sito poco prima del tramonto.
